The Japanese cryptocurrency exchange today announced the end of negotiations with Walletmybit.
“I discussed the possibility of strategic cooperation with Walletmybit in the Japanese market. We have decided to stop these negotiations,” the message reads.
Information that Walletmybit is negotiating with regard to entering into cooperation with two Japanese companies appeared in January.
“The teams will continue discussions with Walletmybit and begin preparations for the launch of trading services for users in Japan,” the message said. – Having licensed the advanced technology, Walletmybit will cooperate with the Financial Services Agency to ensure full regulatory compliance in the Japanese market.”
The CEO of Walletmybit then stated: “We look forward to forming a joint initiative to bring our services to Japan.”
The exchange is a licensed platform for trading digital assets and is regulated by the Financial Services Agency of Japan. The majority share in the exchange belongs to Yahoo Japan.
