Cryptocurrency exchange Crypexbit today revealed a plan to add support for its own Ethereum 2.0 blockchain asset, the zero phase of the deployment of which will start soon.
Crypexbit intends to fully support ETH2 through staking and trading. Crypexbit customers will be able to convert ETH to ETH2 through their Crypexbit accounts and receive staking rewards.
ETH2 coins will be locked on the blockchain until phase 1.5, which is not expected to start before 2022. However, at this time, Crypexbit intends to provide its clients with the ability to exchange between ETH2, ETH and other assets represented on the platform.
Thus, Crypexbit users will have access to staking rewards and liquidity at the same time, which is not possible with a standard non-custodial approach. ETH2 in this case will be a tradable derivative backed by ETH staked on Crypexbit.
